About Our Gym

Timberhill Athletic Club offers basketball, racquetball, squash, and pickleball. Each sport offers “open” and “league” play.

Leagues require registration and league fee; they are open to all members.

Open Gym
The only requirements are shoes with non-marking soles, a Full Club Membership, and YOU. Basketballs are provided and everyone is welcome. Check the Gym blackboard for available times each day.

Men's Basketball Leagues

Men’s Basketball Leagues are offered year around. (Fall/Winter/ Spring/Summer sessions).

League sessions run approximately three months and are competitively FUN. Each team is guaranteed eight games. There are three different levels of play, including beginner. Men’s A is the most competitive with Men’s C being the least competitive league. All games are two 20-minute running halves with certified high school referees. We also keep stats on averages for points, 3-pointers and free throws so you can check them every week and compare stats with your friends.  Sign-ups are located at the back desk.  For Current statistics & Schedules and information on upcoming leagues please visit  www.tachoops.com

Pickleball

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America!

Pickleball is for all ages and abilities.  Many people describe Pickleball as playing Tennis on top of a Table Tennis table.   You can get a great workout without the stress on the joints that tennis can give you.  A great way to get a workout!

Current Schedule:

Beginner / Low Intermediate: M/W/F 12:30 – 2:30 PM

Intermediate: M/W/F/Sat 9 AM – 12:30 PM

Advanced: T/TH/Sun 9 AM – 12:00 PM noon

Squash

Timberhill Athletic Club (TAC) has on of the finest squash courts in Oregon. TAC offers challenge ladder opportunities, instruction, and league play.

Racquetball

Timberhill Athletic Club has 4 racquetball indoor courts and is one of the most active racquetball clubs in Oregon.

Leagues

Fall leagues (September-November), Winter Leagues (January-March), Spring Leagues (April-May), and Summer Leagues (June-July). Leagues offered are beginners to Open singles along with doubles leagues. If you are not sure what level/league you should play, please contact Rob Durbin, TAC club pro, for a free evaluation lesson. League are available for TAC members and non-TAC members.

Leagues usually last 6-8 weeks.

Junior Racquetball 

Junior instructional leagues are offered once a week during the school year. There are three sessions (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Each session last eight weeks with an awards/pizza party at the lat day. This is a great opportunity to introduce your child to rules, etiquette, sportsmanship, and having fun playing racquetball.

Junior Summer Camps are offered. Three sessions to choose from to work around your summer travels. Each session is Monday-Thursday. Kids are introduced to agility and speed drills, rules, shot selection, and game management.

Tournaments

TAC is the only club hosting TWO Oregon Racquetball Association (oregonracquetball.org) tour stops per year.

Timberhill Open (FALL) is one of the longest running tournaments on the ORA schedule.

Beaver Classic (WINTER) showcases many of the top players in the Northwest along with the Oregon State University national racquetball team. It serves as a major fundraiser for Beavers. Racquetball is a “club” sport at OSU, so funds a limited.

Togo’s/Corvallis Racquetball Championships (SPRING) wraps up the racquetball year.

National Racquetball Traveling Team

TAC is the host club where the team has practiced/played since the program started in 2003. Many of the players participate in leagues with the TAC members. With the continuous support of TAC and it’s members, the OSU racquetball program have won 12 National Collegiate Racquetball Team Championships.
